IBM has been working on quantum computing for many years. That research is now finding real-world applications in fields as diverse as telecom, financial services, logistics and healthcare. In this report, we highlight IBM’s recent breakthroughs in the field, some practical use cases for quantum computing, and progress towards what IBM calls “Quantum Utility” – deriving real business and scientific value from this pioneering technology.
