Oracle has a single set of policy/rule technology that it adapts and applies to various domains (e.g.; traditional 3GPP PCRF vs. MANO). As in most of its products, Oracle separates the policy and Charging “run-time” (execution environment) and the “design time” (service creation environment). In the traditional policy-as-monetization space, Oracle offers both a PCRF and OCS, which support fixed and mobile, and supports the welcome current trend of simplified development of new plans and monetization schemes via a unified development and rule validation environment. This speeds development of charging-policy rule-sets, and reduces the task of validation across policy and charging domains.
